The market for real trees in the UK seems to be increasing each year and everyone seems to have had a successful season in 2004.
As expected the export figures from Denmark are decreasing. We believe export figures may well be as low as seven million trees and Denmark has been exporting around twelve million trees so a shortage of Norman Fir is expected. Already prices of Nordman Fir have increased so we advise our customers to contact us as soon as possible if an increase in numbers required is expected. Although we only use British grown Christmas trees this potential shortage will force our Nordman Fir price to increase. We have a new plantation of Fraser Fir ready for the 2005 season and are able to hold our price on Fraser Fir which seems to be a realistic alternative to the Nordman Fir.

  • July-September 2005

On August 25th we hosted the open day for the British Christmas Trees Association. With visitors from as far away as Scotland and Denmark the day proved to be a success. We were able to display the new netting machine which combines with the pallet machine to give us the most efficient method of harvesting available. We have done a lot of work with the Fraser Fir ensuring they have a straight leader and good colour ready for the coming season.

Our trees have been in demand already and have been used in photo shoots for both Harrods and the Ideal Home magazine. We are now able to offer a reliable courier service so can deliver individual trees to private customers.
